It’s wasn’t that bad…it was actually more of a spontaneous rock-climbing expedition than an actual hike:) We followed a trail for part of the way, until we kids decided to take to the rocks. The parents we’re so enthusiastic, and stayed behind:). We actually made it all the way to the top of the mountain. Great view, and tons of fun:)

Glad you liked the boots!:) I’m absolutely in love with them. It’s not every day that you find a pair of polka-dotted boots that are actually YOUR SIZE just lying around in a thrift store! They’re my friends:) If I find an extra pair at the thrift store, though, I’ll have to be sure and send them out your way:).

As sad as it is to lose such a great friend, I thank God for the peace she now has. I also appreciate your testimony with this. I can’t even imagine loosing my best friend, but you know that it isn’t eternal separation! I love the last line “Because even if I could, I would not change anything”. Wow, that got me crying! So beautiful!!!

What we are trying to point out is that girls can be modest, feminine AND beautiful in skirts …. and cute! Personally, I agree with Carmen Santiago that some women don’t realize how immodest most jeans look and the fact that it opens you up to act in a less modest way because you feel you are “covered”. Again, this is my personal opinion, but I don’t think that jeans themselves are modest. While skirts can be very immodest at times (I agree to that!), jeans generally show off a lot more than skirts do.

As to expressing your own personality and not dressing like you are from the 1800s – we can do that! But this is not so much about just being “in” and fashionable – as just simply proving that things can be done in skirts. Sometimes people feel that it’s too hard to go camping and hiking, do chores, have fun, be comfortable, etc. in skirts. But it’s not true, and you CAN be cute at the same time. In the above photo we were on a cabin trip at the river. In the previous ones, I was milking a goat and doing some “farm chores”. One we posted was on a camp trip at the ocean when we were walking along the beach. You get the picture. And we didn’t have to look like we were wearing our grandparents clothes to do so.

I believe the only “Myth” that deserves time to be busted here, is the “Myth” that you cannot wear a skirt and do ordinary everday living- that skirts are impractible in today’s society. We choose to wear skirts because they keep us modest and separated as a feminine. And the girls are proving that it does not hinder their ability to enjoy all the things in life that wearing a pair of pants would afford you to enjoy.
Felecia selectd an adorable picture of two cute, modest, feminime young ladies enjoying a day of camping in comfortable skirts.
